Wreck-It Ralph FanFic. Ch. 2

All characters in the game 'Fix-It Felix Jr.' froze as they saw the arcade's front door open accompanied by its generic chime. It was Mr. Litwak. He looked sick. His nose was red and he held a bundle of tissues in his left hand as he held the door open with his right. Mr. Litwak held the door open for two kids. The first was a girl. She was a regular at the arcade. She was most noticeable for her pink horned rimmed glasses. The second kid was a boy. It was obvious this was his first time in the arcade as he started looking around when he came inside. He had his brown hair combed neatly and was wearing a red buttoned shirt tucked into a pair of belted blue jeans. He was carrying some sort of black box. Whatever inside was heavy as the boy struggled to carry it.
"Well, here we ar-ah-ah-AAACHOOO!" Mr. Litwak said through a stuffy nose.
"Bless you Mr. Litwak." the girl said.
"Yeah, and thanks for letting us be here even though your sick." the boy said.
"No problem," Mr. Litwak took a moment to snort and wipe his nose, "normally I wouldn't do this, but when you told me why and what you what you wanted to do here, I couldn't say no."
"Yes, and again thanks." the boy said again. He placed the black box down and opened it up. The box's lid revealed a screen and inside were two headsets. He looked at the girl.
"Which of of the games are we looking at?" He asked, motioning around the arcade.
"Fix-It Flelix Jr. was one of them." The girl answered with a finger pointed at the game.
"Do you have any chairs?" The boy asked Mr. Litwak.

Every character 'Fix-It Felix Jr.' looked with stunned silence through their game's screen. Because they were in East Niceland the view was skewed, but they could see Mr. Litwak lead two children into the arcade.
"What are they doing here?" Ralph asked, breaking the silence.
The Nicelanders each had a theory, but none of them wanted to speak. Felix himself was still frozen untill he noticed the girl.
"Ralph, doesn't that girl look familiar?" he asked.
Ralph squinted his eyes, but it took him a moment to realise. "Isn't she the girl who always comes here after school?"
"Yeah, but she's also the girl I told you about," Felix explained, "the one who got us the 'Out of Order' sign after you 'went turbo'."
Again Ralph buried his face in his palm. Ever since that adventure Ralph couldn't go through Game Central Station without hearing the cheers and jeers. The only thing that traveled faster than the gossip was the Surge Protecter who kept a close eye on Ralph. It wasn't all bad. He liked getting the occasional free drink over at Tapper's, but he felt uncomfortable when other characters would stare at him.
"What about her?" Ralph asked.
Felix motioned toward the screen with both his arms and a serious look on his face. Ralph looked through the screen again and saw the girl point at his and Felix's game. Now Ralph knew why Felix was so serious.
"Gene, Mary, Deanna, John. Let's go." Ralph ordered as he placed his hand palm up on the ground.The four Nicelanders gathered together and held each other tight as Ralph carried them toward the apartment building. Ralph raced as fast as his stubby legs could carry him and the Nicelanders.
"Wait Ralph, they're not coming to this game!" Vanellope cried out. She saw which game the two kids were really going towards, but she couldn't do anything but chase after the iconic duo of 'this' game as they raced off.
Felix got to the apartment faster from his incredible hopping. Once there, Ralph began to climb the apartment building. On his way up Ralph placed each of the Nicelanders in their respective apartments. With John, however, Ralph pretended to place him in his apartment, but instead Ralph lifted him to eye level and threw him off screen. After reaching the midpoint of the building Ralph continued his routine by smashing a hole in the building for himself.
"Fix-It Felix!" The Nicelanders cried out.
"I'm gonna fix it!" Felix responded.
With their demo programing running its course, Ralph, Felix, and the Nicelanders hoped they didn't attract the wrong type of attention. That is until Vanellope finally arrived at the front door of the appartment building.
"What are you doing here?" Felix asked through a gritted smile.
"If you two could pull the candy corn out your ears then you'd hear me say those kids aren't here for your game." Vanellope explained. "Look!"
After thirty years of doing the same demo screen Felix and his fellow game characters learned to ignore what happened on the opposite side of the screen. Felix stopped for a moment and actually looked through the screen. He saw that the two kids looking over Vanellope's game 'Sugar Rush'.
"Hey Ralph." Felix called out.
The friendly repairman tried to get Ralph's attention, but for a response Felix received a brick to the face. As Felix humorously died and regenerated Ralph wondered how Felix could be hit by a Level 1 brick. Then he saw Vanellope.
"Kid, what are doing here?" Ralph asked.
Instead of explaining herself again, Vanellope simply pointed at the screen. Ralph looked and saw the two kids not near hus game, but instead looking over Vanellope's game. He saw the girl already in and adjusting one of the seats.

"Are you sure you don't have any chairs?" The boy asked Mr. Litwak.
"I only hav-av-av," Mr. Litwak took a moment to almost sneeze. "I only have stools for people who spend all day at a single game."
"These chairs will be fine. I've seen them hold people twice our size." The girl reassured.
"Ok fine," the boy accepted, "but do you have an empty outlet?"
"Kid, this is an arcade. You have a better chance of finding chairs that aren't attached to to a game." Mr. Litwak said sarcastically.
"We can unplug the Whack-a-Mole. It's not digital, so there's no high scores will be erased." the girl pointed out.
"That's fine by me." Mr. Litwak agreed.
"Ok, just give me a moment." The boy said as he disappeared behind the games.
"It's the plug with the tape on it." Mr. Litwak told the boy.
"I see it."
When the boy unplugged the Whack-a-Mole its display lights turned off. The boy then plugged in his black box. He reappeared from behind the games as Mr. Litwak went for the door.
"If you kids need anything I live three blocks down the street." He said.
"Ok, and again thanks." The said for the third time.
When Mr. Litwak left the boy pulled out the two headsets and handed one to the girl. He typed something on black box and set himself in Sugar Rush's other chair.
"So, what are these for again?" the girl asked.
"When you told me about what happened in 'Fix-It Felix Jr.' and 'Hero's Duty' I did some research. What you told me, that one soldier taking up the screen and those NPCS running around. Those things are unprecedented. All I could find where some 'kill screens' and 'easter eggs'. There are theories about what you say happened in those games. I've always wanted to see the code that causes these things to happen, so I made these headsets." The boy explained.
"So, we'll be able to play with the characters themselves?" The girl guessed.
"No, at best we'll just be interacting with the code. Like playing with building blocks."
"Oh," the girl sighed, "then why did you want me here?"
"Well, I just thought I could use the help of a regular at the arcade is all." The boy said sheepishly.
"Oh,ok. Thanks, I guess."
"Just put on the headset and wait for the flash."
The two kids put on the headsets and waited. The headset made made everything dark, then it happened. A flash came and the program began.
